Welcome to Cairo! As soon as you land in the Egyptian capital, we'll help you sort your visa so that you can board a flight to Luxor without any issues. The flight between the two cities only lasts an hour. From the airport, we'll take you on a motorboat to the banks of the sacred river of the pharaohs, ready for an unforgettable four-night cruise on the Nile with everything included! If your arrival is later than 9 pm, a packed meal will be provided instead of a full dinner.
Scarlet tones emerge with the Luxor sunrise. The cruise ship will dock on the eastern bank of the Nile so that we can enjoy a guided tour around Karnak Temple. Its exciting history will captivate us from the very first moment. We'll also immerse ourselves in the fascinating past of Pharaonic Egypt by visiting the Luxor Temple, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Hatshepsut Temple, whose colossal dimensions never fail to surprise us. After the visit, we'll return to the ship for lunch and continue the journey towards Edfu.
The unfathomable secrets of the falcon god await us at the Horus Temple in Edfu. This archaeological site on the western bank of the Nile will allow us to continue learning about the history of ancient Egypt. We'll also visit the Kom Ombo site. Its Sobek and Haroeris Temples are still an inexhaustible source of theories and hypotheses for Egyptologists. The secrets of some of these studies will accompany us on the cruise along the Nile, which will continue south to Aswan. Important: the tour of Edfu will be done by horse-drawn carriage. In case you do not want to take the tour in this means of transport, you can inform the guide the day before so that they can arrange another transport for € 15 (US$ 16.24) per person.
On this day, we'll board an Egyptian felucca to sail to the island of the Philae Temple. After the guided tour of this exceptional ruin declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, we'll return to the comforts of the cruise.
The Nile cruise finishes on this day, but the adventure in Egypt continues. In fact, as soon as we disembark in Aswan, we'll drive to the monumental site of Abu Simbel. The giant busts of Ramses II and the other sculptures that form part of the nearby Nefertari Temple will leave us in awe. After having the afternoon free to admire the figures in detail, we'll enjoy dinner with a sound and light show in Abu Simbel in the evening.
On the shores of Lake Nasser, we'll visit one of the most outstanding citadels in this area of Egypt, Qasr Ibrim. Nearby is the Amada Temple, where we'll see the ancient ruins of Nubia. Before returning to the ship, we'll also learn about the history of the Derr Temple and the tomb of Pennut. Will this ancient governor from the time of Ramses IV have any hidden messages for posterity?
The next stop on this all-inclusive cruise along Lake Nasser will be a very special ruin, Wadi el Sebowa. Here, we'll see the legendary Dakka and Mahrakka Temples and reveal the legend that shrouds these places in mystery! Afterwards, we'll return to the boat. The voyage will still have many more surprises in store for us.
We'll land on the island of the Kalabsha Temples. On this tiny island territory, we'll see the Kertasi Temple, which is dedicated to Isis, one of the main female gods of antiquity. After visiting the enclave, we'll go to nearby Aswan and head to Hurghada, an Egyptian town located on the shores of the Red Sea. You'll spend four nights and three days enjoying an all-inclusive stay in this paradisiacal destination.
You'll have these three days to enjoy free time in Hurghada. There are many activities available, including diving, snorkeling, a route through the desert, and a guided tour of the city. Here, you can see optional activities in Hurghada.
If you prefer, you can also use these three free days to relax on the beach and make the most of the sun, the sea, and all the comforts of the all-inclusive hotel.
Three hours before take-off, we'll take you to Hurghada airport so that you can comfortably board a flight to Cairo. The journey is just one hour! Once in the Egyptian capital, we'll eat at a local restaurant before going to the hotel for the next three nights.
After breakfast at the hotel in Cairo, we'll go to the Giza Pyramids. Here, we'll admire the Cheops mausoleums, Chephren and Myceraeus, and enter the second to learn more about the history of this important pharaoh. Another stop will be the famous Giza Great Sphinx to appreciate its colossal size.
After the three-hour guided tour of Giza, we'll have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we'll travel to the Saqqara ancient necropolis to learn the secrets of the famous Zoser pyramid. Before returning to the hotel in Cairo, we'll put the perfect end to this intense day with dinner in a restaurant in the city center.
Get ready for a guided tour of Cairo! We'll dedicate the morning on this penultimate day to visit the most important locations around the city. The Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Saladin, the Coptic Quarter, the Alabaster Mosque... You'll enjoy the complete experience of the city! We'll also taste traditional Middle Eastern food, with a lunch and a dinner that will take place in popular restaurants in downtown Cairo.
Three hours before your flight departure, we'll take you to the airport in Cairo so that you can check in and board without any hassle or hurry.
